The Book Observer Limited was founded to strengthen the literary community through independent reviews, reading promotion, and direct support for authors. We are a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Our mission is to make literary discovery more open and more human: to connect curious readers with meaningful books, to elevate the work of independent and emerging authors, and to build public programs that bring the love of reading into everyday life.
What We Do
We publish independent, thoughtful reviews of new and overlooked books. Our editors evaluate each title on its own terms, with honesty and respect for the author’s craft.
From seasonal reading lists to community book clubs and library partnerships, we create programs that help people read more widely, deeply, and joyfully.
We offer independent authors practical support: review submissions, author spotlights, launch announcements, and resources on reaching readers.
